So, we've been spoiled rotten over the weekend with 2 nights of Strictly (not to mention 'X Factor' for those interested). But who came out looking like the likely favourite to win overall, do we think?

Well, bookmakers, William Hill, seem to think Matt Baker was head and shoulders above the rest and the general feel of the blogs and forums would also agree. So could the former Blue Peter presenter be heading for the ballroom crown? Well, William Hill spokemans, Rupert Adams, seems to think that Baker has his work cut out thanks to competition from his rivals, commenting that:

"It is the most open strictly that any of us can remember and we are seeing cash for the top nine in the betting."

If we take Will Hill's pricing of the contenders, then Paul Daniels is a major outsider. That's something we can certainly back up with the judge's scores too, of 2, 5, 5, 4, despite of him being coupled with the phenomenally talented professional, Orla.

Betting odds aside, though, what an entertaining weekend! It certainly is looking closer to call than previous series of the show might have done so early on.

The early shows are always a particular treat as we see such a variety from the really-not-very-good-at-all to the spectacular.

So, Strictly is well and truly underway and Britain has its ballroom shoes out for another series!
